The NIMC would only re-issue NIN slip in case of the following reason; Loss, Damage, Theft, and change/modification of the record. Each case has its requirement and document.

  • Court affidavit for loss of document

Step On How To Make Payment For Re-issuance of NIN Slip 

There are several payment options available but below are the steps on how to make payment for re-issuance of the NIN slip using Remita;

  • Visit www.remita.net to start the payment process
  • Click on the Pay Biller option in the Bills & Purchases section
  • On the who do you want to pay section; type in “National Identify Management Commission”.
  • Choose “NIN Slip Re-issue” on the Name of service/purpose section
  • Fill in the payer’s name and phone number
  • Tick on the “I am not a robot” reCAPTCHA checkbox and verify
  • Click on submit to proceed to payment
  • Print the invoice and take note of your RRR (Remita Retrieval Reference)

Step On How To Retrieve Your Lost NIN Slip

Below are ways to retrieve your lost NIN slip;

NIMC Office

  • After making payment on Remita, print out the slip and carry along the required document.
  • Visit the NIMC office nearest to you
  • Make your intention of coming to the office known to the officer in charge of Re-issuance of the NIN slip.
  • Fill out the form and submit it with a copy of the required document.
  • Once your details are verified, your NIN will be reprinted.

NIMC App

  • If you have not installed the NIMC app before, then download it from your play store or app store.
  • After installing the app, you would ask to enter your NIN number. If you don’t know your NIN number then dial *346# to check your NIN on your phone.
  • Enter the verification code sent to your number registered with NIMC.
  • Click on print premium slip
  • Click pay with Remita (the service fee is N1000)
  • After payment, a screen would be displayed that would allow you to download your NIN in pdf format.
  • Visit any printing outlet and print your NIN slip.

  • Dial *346# on your phone to retrieve your NIN
  • Enter no 1 for NIN retrieval
  • Your network provider will charge you N20 for this service
  • If you have sufficient airtime then enter No 1 to proceed.
  • Your NIN will be displayed on the screen.
