Follow the below instructions to open fidelity account with USSD:
- Dial *770# on your mobile phone
- Choose option 1 for instant banking
- Choose option 1 again for “Open account”
- Choose whether to open your account with BVN or without BVN
- Enter full name
- Enter your phone number
- Choose the type of account, whether savings or current
- Fill in all the required fields correctly
- Once you are done with the above, your account number will be sent to you via SMS.
NOTE: After you create your account on your phone, there will be several limitations placed on it, and in order to lift these limits, you will have to visit the bank and submit some documents like your national ID card, utility bill etc.
However, you can fully receive money with your Fidelity bank account number.
How to open Fidelity bank account online?
To open a Fidelity bank account online, follow the below instructions:
- Visit the Fidelity bank account opening portal using https://eserve.fidelitybank.ng/onlineaccount/home
- If you want to register with your BVN, enter it and click on “Verify”, but if you don’t have BVN, you can click “I don’t have BVN”
- Fill the registration form with all the required details correctly. If you registered with BVN, it will automatically fetch some of your details.
- Once you complete the process, you will have your account number
Fidelity bank account upgrade
If you want to remove the limits from your bank account, you will need to visit the nearest fidelity bank branch with documents like Utility bill, National ID etc.
Head straight to the customer service desk and request for the account upgrade form. You will be asked if you have the above requirements, and if confirmed you do, you will be given the form to fill.
This form will require details like your bank verification number (BVN), email address, home address, account number, phone number and many more.
Make sure you fill the form correctly and return it back to the desk of the customer service. As long as everything is done correctly, your account will be upgraded in not more than 24 hours.
Once your documents are validated, the limits placed on your account will be removed and you will be able to receive and send any amount of money.
