You can use the Spotify service for free, as there is a freemium plan available for you to stream music, however, you will most likely be disturbed by advertisements and your controls will be limited.
So if you want to get rid of adverts on Spotify and get access to all the features that Spotify has to offer, then you will have to pay a monthly/yearly subscription fee.
A lot of Nigerians have complained of not being able to subscribe to Spotify, as a result of their card being declined or so. So I decided to write this post on all the Nigerian cards that work for Spotify music subscription.

Nigerian cards that work with Spotify subscription
The following are some of the known working cards for Spotify music subscription:
UBA MasterCard
The UBA MasterCard works very well for Spotify music subscription. I Personally have used this card to subscribe for both Spotify and Apple Music subscription, and it works very well, I have even used it for my Netflix subscription and it has never failed me.
If you have a UBA MasterCard, then go ahead and try it, and I’m very sure it will work for you, and if it doesn’t, then you can continue reading for other options.
Zenith Visa and MasterCard
Zenith bank offers you a Visa Card and MasterCard once you have a bank account with them. If you have a Zenith bank account, then you can apply for either a Visa card or MasterCard, I personally prefer the MasterCard, but either of them works well for Spotify subscription.
Some people have complained of their Zenith card not working, but it has worked for many others, so you will have to try to know, and if it doesn’t, then you can continue reading for other options.
ALAT virtual card by Wema
Wema bank, which is one of the leading commercial banks in Nigeria, has its virtual card ALAT, which you can use to subscribe for Spotify.
This ALAT virtual card also works for subscription like Apple Music, Netflix and other international payments.
You will need to have a WEMA bank account in other to be able to use this Card.
Access bank visa card
Another card that works for Spotify subscription is the Access bank visa card. The Visa card is available to access bank customers, and once you have an Access bank account, you can apply for it and use it to pay for Spotify.
This card is known to work for Spotify, and if it doesn’t work for you, then you can try any of the other options I have listed out.
GTbank MasterCard
A lot of people claim to be having problems using their GTbank MasterCard for Spotify subscription, but in my experience, I had no issues using it for my Spotify subscription, hence why I have included it in this list.
I personally use either my UBA MasterCard or my GTbank MasterCard to pay for Spotify and I have had no issues.
Virtual cards
Another option you can also try are Virtual cards. Virtual cards are not physical cards, hence you don’t need to visit any bank to apply for them, you can easily get a virtual card online in a few minutes.
The Virtual cards that are known to work for Spotify music subscription are GoMoney and Chipper virtual cards.
