Binance is the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange. Binance came into existence around 2015 and they are based out of china.
Headed by CEO changpeng Zhao, binance offers both crypto to crypto and Fiat to crypto exchange.
How to verify binance account in Nigeria
There are three verification levels that you might need to go through on Binance:
- Level 1 verification
- Level 2 verification
- Level 3 verification
Level 1 verification
This is the first level of verification that all binance users must go through. This level limits you to a deposit and withdrawal maximum of 4 million per day and 80 million per month.
To begin this verification, you will need to follow the below instructions:
- Login to your binance account on the app
- Click on the MEU icon the top left corner
- Click on identification
- Click on Get verified and get started
- You will be asked to input personal information like email address, phone number, full name, date of birth, residential address
- You will also be required to upload a means of identification, which can be National identity number (NIN), International passport, voter’s card or driver’s license. You will take a photo of both the front and back of the ID.
- You will also be required to take a selfie in a well illuminated place
Once you have done the above, that means you have successfully passed through the level 1 verification.
Level 2 verification
If you want to work with a higher amount, then you will need to pass through level 2 verification which allows you a deposit and withdrawal amount of 20 million naira per day and 400 million per month.
What is required in this level of verification is proof of address, which can be bank statement, utility bill, electricity bill, water bill etc.
Level 3 verification
This is the final level of verification and requires you to provide a source of wealth declaration. Basically, this is done to show what you do for a living.
Binance may require you to complete this level of verification if you trade a very high volume daily.

It used to be possible to verify your binance account with your BVN, but since the ban of cryptocurrency by the Nigerian government, it is no longer possible to do so.

At the very most, it should not be more than 10 days.
