Requirements to upgrade my First bank account
In other to upgrade your First bank account you will need to go with the following documents:
- Your ID, which can be your international passport, voter’s card, national ID card or driver’s license.
- Last 3 months’ utility bill which can be NEPA bill (electricity bill), rent bill or any other bill.
- A passport
- A duly signed from which is issued by the bank.
How to upgrade your first bank account?
To upgrade your first bank account, you will need to locate the nearest first bank branch and walk in, straight to the customer service desk.
Once you get to the customer service desk, tell them you want to upgrade your bank account and remove all the restrictions that has been placed on it.
You would then be asked if you have all the requirements as stated above, of which you will reply yes to, as long as you do have them.
You would then be given a form to fill, this form will require details like your bank verification number (BVN), email address, home address, account number, phone number and many more.
Ensure that you fill the form correctly with all your required details before you submit it back to the customer service desk.
Your account should be upgraded in not more than 24 hours, and all the restrictions will be removed. You can always contact the first bank customer service to confirm this.
If you want to upgrade your first bank account, but there is no first bank branch near you, then you can contact the first bank support team, so they can help you upgrade your bank account without needing to come to the banking halls.
Remember that you must still have the above requirements to do this.
