This is the most important question that gtbank Mobile Banking users ask. It allows them to determine the maximum transfer limit on their mobile app.

Since the introduction of mobile banking in 2010, I have been using the Gtbank app on my mobile phone. This post will show you how to increase your transfer limit.

You can transfer as much as five million naira to gtbank online banking. Gtbank internet banking or online banking allows you to transfer N5M from savings accounts.

The hardware token is the reason internet banking has such a high transfer limit. Because the hardware token is trusted and better secured, one can transfer as much as five million naira per day using it.

You will need to visit any gtbank near you to increase the GTB mobile app transfer limit. Talk to any customer service representative by going to the customer support section.

You can request to increase your transfer limit via the GTB app. You will receive a form that you need to complete. It will ask you to specify the amount you wish to increase your maximum transfer to the GTB mobile app.

It will however exceed the Gtbank daily limit for transfers. As I mentioned, the transfer limit for the current account is higher than that of the savings account. Ask the customer service representative about the bank’s daily transfer limit to find out the amount that you will be writing on the form.

Once you are done filling out the form, please return it to the customer service representative so that they can begin processing your request. The process should take no more than three minutes and the customer service representative will usually complete it right in front of your eyes.

Gtbank has increased the transfer limit via their ATM to five million naira, as of 2021. You may not like this because it forces you to leave your comfort zone in order to make a transfer.

I get really pissed when bank customers wait in line for money transfer while they can do it with their phones.

Perhaps the limit on gtbank’s mobile app transfers is too high and people decide to use an atm. What I am trying to convey is that you can transfer up five million naira to your gtbank savings accounts through the ATM.

I prefer internet banking, however, because it has the same transfer limit and I don’t have to travel outside to find the closest gtbank or ATM.

I will repeat that again: To increase the transfer limit in the GTB app, contact the bank and ask for the increase. You can then proceed, but it will not exceed five million Nigerian naira.

You can transfer five million Nigerian naira using the gtbank mobile application. However, they will usually tell you it is two million naira unless your current account is upgraded from savings.

You can see why you need an internet banking or mobile banking when you compare the limit of the gtbank app transfer limit with the limit of the *737# ussd transfer.

The lowest transfer limit is available for the ussd via the Gtbank web banking, mobile banking app, and the *737# ussd number.

Gtbank *737# ussd codes transfer limit is only two hundred thousand Nigerian naira per day. It is worth noting that if you do not have an ATM, the daily limit will be twenty thousand Naira.

It is way too low compared to internet banking and mobile banking apps.

You will need a hardware token to increase the gtbank *737# USSD code limit. It cost N3k the last time I asked, but I don’t have any current information about its price. You can use the *737# ussd number to transfer as much as one million naira through the hardware token.

Even so, the gtbank app transfer limit for mobile is much better. You can also request your account statement via the Gtbank mobile app.

This is the limit for mobile transfer to gtbank, and I’m repeating it again: It is two million Nigerian naira.

Going to the bank is the best way to transfer money. This is money transfer that takes place inside the bank. It is safer than any other method.

What is the transfer fee for GTBank?

This is how gtbank charges for transfer via internet banking, mobile banking app or the *737# USSD code

Gtbank will charge N10 to make a money transfer less than five thousand naira. There is also a vat fee of N0.75 kb, which amounts to N10.75.

Transfers of five thousand to ten thousands naira will incur a transfer fee of N25.

Finally, if you send money above ten thousand naira, you will be charged N50 transfer fee. These are the transfer fees that I have seen when using my account to transfer money.

The bank reduced the transfer fees to N15 for amounts above N10k, and removed N5k from below during the lockdown. They have restored everything to its original state since the beginning of November 2020.
